Strategic Directions
Strategic Directions
JSKS’s long-term vision of just, inclusive, and resilient society in which marginalized communities are able to exercise their rights, live with dignity, and influence decisions that affect their lives. The strategy is guided by a rights-based, gender-transformative, and climate-responsive approach, with the following core strategic directions:
- Deepening impact with marginalized groups through integrated, and intersectional programming.
- Strengthening pathways from community empowerment to governance and policy influence.
- Systematically integrating climate resilience, safeguarding, and inclusion across all thematic areas.
- Investing in institutional capacity to ensure accountability, effectiveness, and long-term sustainability.
- Building strategic partnerships that enable learning, influence, and predictable financing.
Strategic Priority Areas
Over the ten-year period, JSKS will focus on five interlinked strategic priority areas:
1. Gender Equality, SRHR, and Protection: Addressing harmful social norms, preventing gender-based violence, promoting adolescent and youth SRHR, and strengthening safeguarding and referral systems.
2. Youth Leadership and Civic Engagement: Developing inclusive leadership pathways for marginalized youth, fostering civic participation, and supporting youth-led advocacy and accountability initiatives.
3. Climate Resilience and Inclusive Livelihoods: Promoting climate-adaptive livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, and social protection linkages to enhance household and community resilience.
4. Disability Inclusion and Access to Services: Expanding community-based rehabilitation and assistive services, and advocating for inclusive public services and infrastructure.
5. Governance, Advocacy, and Systems Change: Strengthening community-to-policy linkages, engaging local government institutions, and influencing policy and practice through evidence-based advocacy.
