Inclusive Governance and Advocacy:
Strengthening community-to-policy linkages, engaging local government institutions, and influencing policy and practice through evidence-based advocacy: JSKS strengthens governance and accountability by bridging the gap between marginalized communities and policy-making institutions. It engages local government bodies including Union Parishads, Upazila administrations, and line departments through regular coordination meetings, joint planning sessions, and participatory monitoring to ensure that community voices inform local development priorities. The program builds the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), and grassroots leaders to understand policy processes, generate and use evidence, and advocate effectively for the rights and needs of marginalized populations, particularly Dalit, Adivasi, women, and persons with disabilities. Evidence-based advocacy is supported through community scorecards, social audits, citizen monitoring, and documentation of case stories and best practices. These tools generate credible data and community perspectives that are used to influence local and national policies, budget allocations, and service delivery practices. By promoting inclusive and accountable governance, the program contributes to systemic change that ensures public services are responsive, equitable, and accessible to all citizens.
