JSKS successfully organized a series of Upazila-Level Coordination Meetings with Duty Bearers

JSKS successfully organized a series of Upazila-Level Coordination Meetings on 14 September in Kaharole, 15 September in Birol, and 17 September 2026 in Dinajpur Sadar, under the Nagorikata–Civic Engagement Fund (CEF), in collaboration with its local partner organizations Kaharole Adivasi Jubo Sangho, Birol Adivasi Jubo Kallyan Parishad, and Rights Center.
The meetings were chaired by Mr. Mustafa Kamal, Executive Director, JSKS, and attended by the respective Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) as Chief Guests: Ms. Mokleda Khatun Mim, UNO, Kaharole; Mr. Md. Rezaul Islam, UNO, Birol; and Mr. Md. Ruhul Amin Sharif, UNO, Dinajpur Sadar. Heads and representatives of relevant Upazila-level government departments, CBO leaders, journalists, Dalit and Adivasi community leaders, project participants, local opinion leaders, Union Parishad Chairmen, and administrative officials also participated actively.
Ms. Mokleda Khatun Mim, UNO, Kaharole: “Meaningful engagement between communities and government institutions is essential to ensure that public services reach everyone fairly. Strong coordination can help identify community priorities and connect them with appropriate government services.”
Mr. Md. Rezaul Islam, UNO, Birol: “Inclusive development requires the active participation of communities, particularly those who are often left behind. Government institutions and community organizations can work together to improve access to services and address local challenges.”
Mr. Md. Ruhul Amin Sharif, UNO, Dinajpur Sadar: “Effective coordination among government departments, civil society and community representatives can create stronger opportunities for marginalized communities to access their rights, services and entitlements.”
The meetings provided an important platform for dialogue, experience sharing, identification of community priorities, and strengthening government - community linkages. Participants discussed opportunities to improve access to public services, strengthen civic participation, and promote more inclusive and responsive local governance.
Together, we remain committed to building stronger partnerships, empowered communities, and an inclusive society where every citizen can participate and access public services with dignity.
