About Us
JSKS, which stands for
"Jhanjira Samaj Kallyan Sangstha," embodies the essence of
"Jhanjira," a village with a mission to foster social welfare.
Established on October 10, 1983, JSKS is a non-profit, non-political, and
non-governmental development organization. Since its inception, a dedicated
group of professionals has lent their expertise to the cause, envisioning a
society devoid of injustice and discrimination.
JSKS is committed to enhancing the socio-economic conditions of disadvantaged and vulnerable populations, fostering lives marked by dignity and equity. The organization is steadfast in its mission to champion rights and social justice, improve livelihoods, eradicate gender and wealth disparities, and fortify resilience against climate change for marginalized communities in targeted areas of Bangladesh.
In its pursuit of these goals, JSKS showcases its capacity to shape practices that contribute to the holistic development of reducing vulnerability and eliminating discrimination against socially excluded populations. This includes children, persons with disabilities, women, and ethnic communities in Bangladesh. Through these efforts, JSKS is actively contributing to the transformation of society, creating a more just, inclusive, and resilient future for all.
